The Photographer plays an essential role in growing talent in our business through collaboration and sharing best practices with the Creative team and Brand. You know how to be curious about their opportunities and how to be real with feedback and support.

The Photographer is a digital image expert. You are incredibly creative, and able to take initiatives from start to finish, with the ability to conceptualize, develop and produce unique photography in support of strategy driven marketing collateral. The Photographer would also be working closely with the Creative Director, and Senior Film and Photo Producer, in addition to a large, cross-functional creative team in the conception, and execution of photography for a range of platforms. This is a hands-on role; you will be able to delve deep into the latest photography equipment and software in order to deliver impactful creative and set the bar for a skilled team of photographers and creatives. Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are required.

Reporting to the Creative Manager, the Photographer undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product photography in support of multiple brand initiatives including website/ecommerce, print, brand collateral, and merchandising
  • Other photography as required under the direction of the Creative Director which may include event coverage, head shots, internal communication, and social media
  • Work closely with the Art Director and the Creative team to conceptualize and deliver on campaigns and related initiatives
  • Assisting Filmmakers and Production team on larger scale projects
  • Editing and retouching imagery (make selects, apply treatments, complete image
    clean-up)
  • Organizing and archiving of photo assets
  • Follow established brand guidelines
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

 

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in still photography
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Proven ability to take direction
  • Sound understanding of digital photography, lighting (natural and studio), and compositional skills
  • Extremely organized and able to maintain a high quality of work within a busy schedule
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) and Capture One editing software
  • Experience with Canon camera equipment
  • Technical familiarity with Profoto lighting equipment
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Must be based in Vancouver, BC
