We’re looking for a manager-level leader and business driver who has a demonstrated track record of delivering in healthcare government markets with technology-enabled solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into strategic execution to drive market access for rideshare within non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). You will partner closely with Lyft’s Public Policy, Healthcare Compliance, and Partnerships teams to represent and further Lyft’s Healthcare business with regulators, health plans, and transportation partners. In addition to external market facing responsibilities, you will support the creation of repeatable, scalable internal processes and drive effective program management.

This role will support market intelligence and research to enable data-driven market plans and tactics for government payer segments. We’re looking for someone to become quickly versed in the NEMT commercial and policy environments as well as Lyft’s internal processes by seamlessly interfacing with internal and external parties. Furthermore, you should understand how research-based pilots and programs support market access within government healthcare and create those opportunities.

As our Business Development Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager, Business Development for Healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver market access for rideshare companies to operate within non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)
  • Represent Lyft's approach in Healthcare with Medicaid Agencies, including our product, operations, and value propositions for working within government markets
  • Be a cross-functional team driver from identification to execution across all relevant stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for market development, create tactical execution plans, and work cross-functionally to deliver and lead external activities with government agencies
  • Build research-based market intelligence to plan and prioritize market access opportunities
  • Create toolkits to scale market access approach
  • Operate with a research-based lens on healthcare engagements to identify opportunities to assess the impact of transportation network company (TNC) provided transportation on health outcomes and healthcare economics
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time for in-person meetings

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategy, and/or management consulting with a focus in healthcare and/or technology in government markets
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and key players in the market
  • Proven success in external account, client, or customer-facing relationship development
  • Experience in strategic planning and forecasting plus market intelligence research and synthesis
  • Ability to partner and influence cross-functionally across various levels of seniority and function
  • Understanding of data analysis, research process, and metrics collection
  • Comfortable with conducting Internal Business Reviews with Executive Leadership
  • Government experience and/or working within highly regulated markets preferred
  • Direct state Medicaid program engagement a plus
