Lyft is looking for an experienced Community Specialist who knows how to motivate a team and wants to make a big impact at a fast-growing company. You will manage a team across Austin and will design creative initiatives for improving the driver experience. You’ll work with other operations team members who are focused on supporting Lyft drivers in the Greater Austin area.

Responsibilities:

  • Launch market expansion opportunities
  • Manage and own the day to day operations of a line of business, including one or more physical sites
  • Hire, train and develop a small team of Community Associates
  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure team members are kept informed on progress of launch, new initiatives, product changes, and are aligned to Lyft’s vision
  • Review NPS/CSAT feedback to identify ways to improve the driver service experience; enforce with team members
  • Updates manager on business and team performance metrics; identifies opportunities for improvement and process/actions to achieve goals
  • Ensure location(s) adheres to Lyft's brand, operational, and community standards
  • Continuously innovate to find new ways to improve the driver and team experience
  • Assist in de-escalating challenging driver interactions
  • Represent Lyft's brand, mission, and culture both inside and outside of the organization

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in customer service roles such as retail, technical support or hospitality and 1+ years managing a small team
  • Embody servant leadership and operational excellence
  • Knowledge of and passion for the rideshare industry (bonus points if you’re not just a passenger but a driver too!)
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal savvy and passion for working with people
  • Ability to learn on the fly and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
