As part of this mission, we are scaling our Driver Education & Success team to better drive engagement and identify opportunities for improvement between HQ, our field teams, and the driver community. This person will lead a team working to connect these groups to identify and drive programs that will enable drivers to get more value and meaning out of their relationship with Lyft. The Director, Driver Education & Success Operations role reports to the VP of Driver Product and will play a critical role in connecting and executing various cross-company initiatives in a driver-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the problem identification, resolution, and operationalization of solutions meant to solve top driver pain points, in collaboration with relevant teams to maximize driver satisfaction, retention, and productivity
  • Establish and manage physical-world pilots and programs that help us test + identify what resources, support, and enablements Lyft should invest in and scale for drivers, complementing the digital world experience
  • Responsible for envisioning and building Lyft’s driver education program to ensure drivers are skilled in hospitality and service, financial literacy, and safety
  • Contribute to the current and future driver community engagement strategy, including defining goals and driving execution on community programs
  • Create a culture of advocacy for our drivers by working to implement company vision and understanding

Experience:

  • 10+ years of operational, strategic and tactical experience growing and leading complex operations and/or process
  • Strong track record developing, enabling and empowering large people-driven organizations
  • Problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset with an exceptional track record in a similar or adjacent industry
  • Proven ability to combine seamlessly long-term, strategic and innovative thinking with fast-paced, hands-on execution
  • Experience driving an agenda and building consensus across a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives (policy, product, operations, external organizations)
  • Exceptional partnership and leadership skills; effective in facilitating cross-functional team dynamics and partnering at the individual contributor up to the executive level
  • Adept at defining and implementing operational and process improvement to promote the growth of the business
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence - ideally already comfortable with speaking and panel engagements, interviews with the press
