Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Global Supply Management, Supplier Industrialization Engineering, Planning and Logistics, Warehousing, and Environmental Engineering and Supply Chain Program Management functions.
  • Drive Hardware Supply Chain excellence across Lyft Bikes and Scooters, Amp, Halo and Fleet.
  • Develop supply chain and commodity strategies ensuring supplier(s) are capable of meeting Lyft’s current and future technical and business requirements
  • Lead the identification, contracting, and management of key manufacturing and service partners
  • Establish supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage the RFQ process, and drive final supplier selection in partnership with Hardware Engineering
  • Lead Total Cost Reduction program to ensure the lowest possible total cost, including product cost, transportation cost, inventory cost, and cost of non quality.
  • Maintain expertise/knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements and competitive landscape to drive Lyft’s product roadmap.
  • Negotiate and implement contracts with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, payment terms, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and generally protect Lyft’s interests.
  • Drive Early Supplier Involvement initiatives to ensure our key suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and future product roadmaps
  • Develop and improve manufacturing process to in support of new products, cost reduction or quality improvement.
  • Provide input into Lyft M&A and partnership team, to ensure Supply Chain alignment with Lyft core competes and larger strategic direction.
  • Ownership of all internal and external manufacturing capabilities and associated processes, including research and development, production ramp bring up, vendor selection, non conformance management, and business continuity management.
  • Lead an international team of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering professionals to develop and maintain a best in class, globally distributed, manufacturing footprint across a portfolio of Lyft Bikes and Scooters products
  • Maintain vendor performance management measurement and improvement process
  • Maintain and drive compliance to the Lyft Supplier Code of Conduct

Experience:

  • 5+ years of industry experience leading in a global supply chain organization
  • Previous success in managing a globally distributed team
  • Have previously owned a commodity or strategy, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the given category and the business in question.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles, conformable building out discounted cash flow models and determining return on investment.
  • Comfortable with commonly used legal terms, contractual frameworks, how they are negotiated and their applicability in Supply Chain contexts (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements).
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration or related discipline. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (Coupa, Netsuite)
  • Experience with product lifecycle beginning with NPI. Knowledge of the various pre-production phases (EVT, DVT and PVT) is a plus
