Lyft is looking for an Insights Specialist to join the Driver Enablement team in our Nashville Corporate Office. Our team’s mission is to enable quality drivers through low-friction onboarding and retention that improves user safety and satisfaction. The best candidate for this role is excited to use their SQL and analytical skills to provide insights that allow Driver Enablement to deliver impact. You are tech-savvy and data-driven, identifying trends that help our team optimize and innovate. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and want to win together.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform deep-dives to understand front-end and back-end user behavior
  • Partner with compliance and engineering stakeholders to improve the customer experience
  • Utilize SQL to create dashboards for team performance reports 
  • Find ways to retrieve relevant data to reduce manual workload of the team
  • Identify trends to support staffing decisions and goal prioritization
  • Own the background check program area with manager support
  • Ensure our reporting models are up to date, detailed, and integrated with the work that we do 
  • Identify and solve problems that we don’t even know exist yet
  • Communicate insights in clear and creative ways

Experience:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to change and uncertainty
  • Aligned with Lyft’s core values
  • Ability to ask, as well as answer, meaningful and impactful questions
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to attack challenging intellectual problems
  • Experience writing intermediate to advanced SQL queries required
  • Advanced experience with Google Sheets
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Self-motivated and ready to go at a moments notice
  • A great listener who is outstanding with documentation
  • Proven ability to operate in grey areas; adaptable and agile
  • Strong track record of setting goals, making a plan, and getting results
  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Operations is a plus but not required
