The Rideshare Planning & Operations team at Lyft is responsible for accelerating the growth of the business and for hitting our top business/company goals around financial metrics and market share. The team is building automated tools to manage growth levers and these are quickly becoming complex to configure and deploy. Given that Lyft’s business is hyper-regional and sensitive to time of day, local events, weather, and more, this makes things even more complicated. 

We are looking for a Manager, Rideshare Planning & Operations to work with the growth team to analyze and improve existing processes, develop plans to streamline operations and decision making and to support and drive new business initiatives and support demand initiatives/strategy. This role will sit in the Rideshare Planning & Operations team, responsible for understanding the impact of our demand programs, partnering with teams to develop/evolve tools and working cross-functionally to develop and drive demand strategies for growth. The Manager, Rideshare Planning & Operations will be involved in both strategy and execution, and you will be critical to the success of the Rideshare Planning & Operations team. We’re looking for a data & process-driven individual who has extraordinary attention to detail and a track record of analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Rideshare Planning & Operations by serving as the driver of various demand initiatives that will inform decision making and deliver impact
  • Work cross-functionally with science, product, operations, and other teams to track, report, diagnose demand programs
  • Analyze data, conduct research, and synthesize feedback into plans, processes and playbooks
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional partners to incorporate feedback into planning and strategy initiatives
  • Identify, develop, and drive strategic opportunities that enable us to grow faster than the market and deliver on the company OKRs 
  • Develop reporting processes and procedures to inform leadership and stakeholders
  • Roll up your sleeves and get stuff done. No one can be counted on to execute faster or better than you
  • Identify opportunities and make them happen

Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a combination of strategy and operations roles (business operations, consulting, investment banking, or an equivalent field)
  • Very strong attention to detail, experience developing processes to remove human error
  • Quantitative analysis - Proficient in SQL, you can deep dive into data and draw meaningful insights, and partner effectively with data science teams to drive & develop deeper research
  • Ability to drive cross-functional decision-making and coordinated action
  • Outcome-driven approach to developing recommendations and demonstrated ability to develop a story and execution plan to support a strategic vision
  • Data analysis experience - able to dissect business issues, analyze large amounts of data, draw actionable conclusions and communicate effectively to stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter - you naturally take ownership, look for opportunities, and do whatever it takes to drive results
