Lyft is hiring an experienced finance and operations leader for its Public Policy team. The newly created Policy Operations role is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in helping build a financial foundation and operational excellence for Lyft’s evolving Public Policy team. The candidate in this position will provide financial, analytical, and operations management support to Lyft’s Public Policy leadership team and work closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to drive strategic decisions for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, business analysis, and budgeting for the Public Policy team
  • Lead beyond budgeting and planning – be a thought leader and strategic partner with Public Policy, FP&A, People Operations, and Information Systems leaders to drive operational efficiencies
  • Lead the development and implementation of new operating systems 
  • Assist the FP&A team in developing and executing the quarterly and annual financial planning process
  • Support Public Policy leadership with crucial financial metrics and key business analysis
  • Prepare executive-grade financial reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Partner effectively with the Accounting team to assist in the close out process
  • Support the Chief of Staff with cross-functional initiatives, special projects, and ad-hoc analysis as necessary

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of direct work experience in FP&A, Business Operations, or Consulting is highly preferred
  • Exceptional strategic, organizational, and program management skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and goal-driven environment
  • Experience adapting to evolving organizational structures and nimble work environments
  • Working knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel and Google Suite skills a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidate should be passionate about Lyft
