We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast-paced company and industry from our San Francisco headquarters.

The algorithmic pricing product manager will be responsible for understanding the role pricing plays in growth, market efficiency, retention and profitability in a very dynamic marketplace. You’ll work with an incredible team of academic pricing researchers, Machine Learning engineers and Data Scientists to design, build and improve algorithmic systems while ensuring the experience for passengers and drivers is consistently improving.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand your users and their needs deeply including the critical differences among the needs of different user groups
  • Understand Lyft’s strategic and competitive position using data analysis, market research and usability studies
  • Translate these needs into a coherent set of product features that solve these needs with a continuous path of improvement. Set goals for the team with clear success metrics that are well aligned with achieving success for your users and Lyft
  • Lead and align cross functional partners and teams: engineers, designers, analysts, marketers, business partners and operations to drive a shared vision
  • Completely own your team's products, existing or new, from ideation, through development, launch, growth and maintenance

Experience:

  • Experience shipping @ scale. Minimum of 4 years of relevant product management or data science experience
  • An academic background in an engineering or quantitative discipline including but not limited to Computer Science, Operations Research, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Economics. 
  • Strong analytical capability with hands on experience doing data analysis using SQL or other high volume analytical tools
  • Strong business acumen - MBA or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with the technical architecture of scalable web systems
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem
  • Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way. Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
