At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

Lyft connects people to transportation to change the way we live and get around our communities. We are looking for product managers who bring exceptional creative and analytical skills to drive forward a best in class product. Product management at Lyft leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing transportation. We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast-paced company and industry from our San Francisco headquarters.

Learning how Lyft can change transportation requires humility and a commitment to continuous learning. As a company, we rely heavily on experimentation to evaluate our hypotheses on how we build a better transportation marketplace. Leaders across Lyft use this platform to inform intelligent decisions, at scale, by using real observational data. In this role, you will work on high impact projects that improve the speed, accuracy, and human comprehension of thousands of experiments per year. Because your stakeholders span almost every team at Lyft, you will have the opportunity to build community across the company to help your peers tackle a diverse range of adoption, measurement, and interpretation challenges. Finally, you’ll be supported by a strong team of engineers, data scientists, and designers who own the development of our experimentation platform and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with engineering and data science to set your team's goals, success metrics and roadmap to align with Lyft's long-term mission and short-term business goals
  • Own your team's products, existing or new, from ideation through development, launch, growth and maintenance
  • Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels
  • Build a community across Lyft which continuously up-levels the wisdom and sophistication with which teams use experimentation to make faster and more correct decisions

 Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, data science, or software engineering
  • Enjoy working on deeply technical products with significant scale expectations and a passionate engineering team
  • Have used or developed other experimentation systems previously, ran experiments at scale, or developed modern distributed systems software
  • Can communicate the value of Experimentation to a diverse audience
  • Conversational familiarity with statistics, data science and causal inference
  • Partner with data scientists to understand new research methods and identify how to build them into the product roadmap
  • Explore new ideas and best practices from across the industry and academia to inform the long-term vision for experimentation at Lyft
  • Ability to manage conversations with a large community of deeply engaged and passionate users (your colleagues)

Benefits:

  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Mental health benefits
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have unlimited paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 401(k) plan to help save for your future
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Lyft Pink - Lyft team members get an exclusive opportunity to test new benefits of our Ridership Program
