Lyft is looking for a Program Manager to join the Rideshare organization. This person will be expected to bring operational efficiency, analyze organization-wide problems and develop solutions and systems to solve them.

From business strategy to execution, you must love getting into the weeds with problems to figure out how to break down barriers and drastically increase output. You are an expert at creating documentation, efficient, scalable systems and building cross-functional relationships. 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable coordinating across teams internally and can excel in a fast-paced environment. This role is all about enabling our tech teams to operate with greater efficiency and support the whole organizations output through optimized technologies.  

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and product leadership to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure
  • Accelerating change through the organization by applying change management concepts and methods
  • Develop the project management systems and tools for teams as they grow
  • Create a working standard to constantly strive to increase performance
  • Act as project manager for complex multi-stakeholder, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proactively work to remove obstacles and enable forward momentum and progress
  • Manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
  • Maintain the institutional memory of the organization by creating a shared knowledge portal and repository of best practices
  • Develop and own project methodology and governance standards and procedures, and deploy with other teams as appropriate
  • Maintain documentation and project plans.
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships and communication at all levels of the organization. Assist in the optimization of resource allocation

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience of program management or consulting experience
  • Must have strong analytical skills, be able to see patterns, be a fast thinker and a good decision-maker
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and work across multiple functions and teams
  • Demonstrate initiative, persistence, ability to problem solve, and enthusiasm for learning new skills
  • Hands-on experience project or program managing initiatives from start to finish
  • Achieves project goals while managing scope, time, quality and risk. Learns from failures as well as successes
  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items
  • Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, self-starter and a great communicator
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
