We are looking for an experienced vehicle remarketing professional who is passionate about the opportunity to lead Flexdrive’s vehicle remarketing strategy. In this role, you will focus on achieving profitability targets for our entire vehicle fleet, owning channel and partnership development for remarketing , building out the consumer facing marketplace and developing process standardization for the remarketing program. The ideal candidate for the role thrives in a fast-paced culture within a complex problem space, has a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive results, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to convert ideas to action.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute remarketing strategy for Flexdrive fleet
  • Manage and develop remarketing channels to optimize sales value for both the active fleet and the damaged vehicles
  • Partner with Lyft’s Express Drive team to ensure vehicle supply / demand balance in each market
  • Lead pricing and sales contract negotiations with remarketing channel partners
  • Develop, standardize and manage arbitration processes
  • Manage end of lease term of fleet ensuring vehicles are sold or extended appropriately based on business needs 
  • Assess and determine the residual value for newly acquired fleet as part of the vehicle acquisition process
  • Manage financing relationship by providing timely notice of vehicle sale or decision to extend residual 
  • Communicate remarketing updates and plans to senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Lead the analysis and the development of financial models ensuring maximization of return from the sales of each vehicle 
  • Work closely with leadership to achieve remarketing financial targets

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, having spent time in rental car remarketing, or commercial fleet remarketing
  • Previous experience designing and implementing remarketing sales programs that scale for a large vehicle fleet
  • Strong financial acumen including valuation forecasting, vehicle sales economic analysis, and keen understanding of vehicle valuation and pricing in different sales channels
  • Strong understanding of vehicle sales impact to GAAP financials: Gain/loss, depreciation, carrying value, and loan/lease liabilities
  • Experience with developing direct to consumer remarketing channel is a plus
  • Demonstrates experience in leading complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrates communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with senior executives
  • In depth understanding and track record of excellence in scaling businesses and operations
  • Experience in managing a team within the domain of remarketing
  • Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively at all levels
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple high priority demands simultaneously; ability to achieve success in situations with high degrees of variation and complexity
  • Operationally-focused, process-oriented, data-driven, and simply able to get stuff done
