Lyft’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist. This role will play an integral part in the day-to-day operations and accounting close with opportunities to work on various projects as we scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing invoices accurately and timely
  • Resolve discrepancies, maintain vendor records, and prepare outgoing payments
  • Assist with the monthly close and accrual process
  • Provide supporting documents for audit
  • Perform Intercompany reconciliations as needed
  • Maintain procurement system and improve procurement processes
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with internal associates and external vendors
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and tasks as needed
  • Assist with Inventory tracking and reconciliations
  • Provide support for balance sheet reconciliations as needed
  • Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated and documented

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of AP experience and public company experience preferred
  • Passion for end-to-end procurement process and improvements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Passion for Lyft and a strong interest in technology
  • Strong Excel skills
  • NetSuite/Oracle experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
  • Demonstrated ability of time management with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with purchase orders and inventory management preferred 
  • Understanding of Cash Applications both on AP & AR
