The Regulatory Operations team at Lyft is hiring for a quick study who is comfortable with ambiguity and is a self starter. You’re no stranger to a challenge or operating and executing in the face of a number of unknowns. Flexibility and adaptability are key. You are eager to hop into new initiatives, but are also ok working the same task throughout the day. 

You have a deep sense of empathy for our users (both drivers and riders), the ability to ask probing questions, detect unstated assumptions, drive consensus, and resolve conflict. You enjoy learning new things and working with many people to achieve success. You consistently own the work, focus on delivering impact and reimagine what’s possible - you make it happen. And you do it with a great sense of humor and an excitement to change the face of ridesharing. Because after all - it matters how you get there.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first point of contact and handle escalations and questions for the team across a variety of channels
  • Identify and report potential process issues and bugs
  • Make recommendations and implement operational improvements
  • Perform ongoing sample-based testing and monitoring of regulatory processes and provide feedback 
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative operational data in order to help identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Participate in defining, collecting and tracking various metrics
  • Help support various audits/reviews and assist with document collection
  • Build and develop relationships with local teams and other teams within Lyft
  • Take initiative and solve problems
  • Work on tasks necessary to daily operations
  • Projects as assigned

Experience:

  • BA or relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to spot patterns, solve problems, and identify things that just don’t look right
  • Ability to understand and execute existing audit methodologies
  • Ability to analyze and understand data
  • Proficient with excel/ google sheets
  • Keen eye for improving operational efficiencies
  • Ability to multi-task and switch into different modes during the workday/week
  • Ability to take direction and feedback, as well as ask for support in order to successfully carry out tasks and see projects to completion
  • Excellent, clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An ability to work with all personality types
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong ownership mindset and resolve to follow-through
  • Basic SQL and object oriented program language (java or python) skills is a plus, but not required
