Lyft is looking for an experienced, talented and energetic attorney to join our expanding Legal team. You will primarily partner with our Global Supply Management, Product and Engineering teams to drive Lyft’s development and production of autonomous vehicle driving systems, bikes, scooters and Internet of Things devices. You will collaborate with a growing team of attorneys and legal support staff that will establish playbooks and processes to ensure that legal support scales as Lyft’s business continues to expand. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. You will report to the Director, Legal.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements , including supply chain, inbound services, licenses and joint development and collaboration agreements across various Lyft business groups 
  • Support legal requests from Global Supply Management, Product, Engineering, Finance and other internal stakeholders in an efficient and professional manner
  • Advise business and cross functional stakeholders on legal issues that may include product liability, regulatory issues, agreement structures and intellectual property matters
  • Develop and refine playbooks and processes to streamline negotiation process and lead trainings and relationship building with internal stakeholders
  • Support leadership and team management efforts as a senior attorney on the Lyft Corporate and Commercial legal team

Experience:

  • JD Degree and must be admitted to the bar in which the position is located and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law
  • 7+ years of experience working in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong track record of working with a wide range of commercial agreements, license agreements along with deep experience with supply agreements
  • Experience in another specialist subject area of law such as intellectual property, corporate or product work is a plus
  • Self-starter who is curious, loves technology and thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude to the workplace
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving workplace
