University Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Lyft’s success. We have an incredible team of coordinators, recruiters and program managers working together to help drive our scale to the next level. As our headcount for interns and entry level talent has grown, the need for a senior leader to oversee these programmatic efforts has come about.  You’ll be tasked with partnering with key leaders across both tech and non-tech to develop, drive and execute scalable program solutions. You’ll also have the privilege of managing a group of high performing recruiting professionals. We are currently seeking a dynamic recruiting professional to lead a team of campus Talent Partners and Scouts as they continue to build a world class University Program. This role will be instrumental in growing and managing an international team that helps develop the next generation of leaders and innovation across all of our businesses, University Talent! Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy across intern, new grad, Ph.D. and HBCU/HSI efforts
  • Create innovative campus recruiting strategies while leveraging our sourcing, operations and talent intelligence teams to ensure programmatic efficiency
  • Lead planning for campus and community events, including interviews, career fairs, information sessions, conference engagement, hackathons and networking opportunities/events
  • Oversight of financial and headcount budgets while using an analytical approach focused on maximizing ROI.
  • Provide thought leadership and direction around developing a comprehensive UR diversity strategy
  • Develop direct reports and ensure team members are performing optimally through guidance on career growth, performance reviews and continuous feedback
  • Evaluate hiring processes and make changes to streamline and enhance experiences candidates and hiring partners
  • Track metrics and pipeline activity for team and manage reporting on hiring progress out to execs and cross-functional partners
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, HR, compensation/benefits, immigration, etc.

 Experience:

  • Experience managing high performing teams and able to work in an ambiguous, fast growth environment, with 5+ years in university recruiting.
  • Proven success in building strong partnerships at the leadership level
  • Demonstrated track record in utilizing data and metrics to educate and drive business leaders
  • Experience building inclusive and diverse teams for both recruiting and the business
  • Robust knowledge of curriculum, competitor best practices and relationships with schools
  • Passionate about diverse, early career talent communities.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to be in front of internal and external leaders
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to last-minute changes
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor with reports, hiring partners and all members at Lyft
