Lyft is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to its Accounting team. This a crucial role that will assist in overseeing revenue accounting operations in a fast paced environment. The role provides significant growth opportunity as it encompasses day to day controllership duties as well as involvement on a number of project based initiatives. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill-sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the monthly close process and reconciliations for Lyft revenue
  • Assist in new Oracle ERP implementation for the monthly close process
  • Assist in working with the financial analytics data team, payment operations team, and other internal business partners to determine accounting requirements for new platform related projects
  • Assist in driving process improvement for all Lines of Business to continuously reduce the Accounting Close Cycle duration
  • Assist in documentation/implementation of revenue accounting processes and internal controls
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a NPI (New Product Integration) process
  • Assist in researching technical accounting guidance in accordance with ASC-606
  • Assist in the creation of internal Revenue Accounting Policies
  • Assist in flux analyses for portions of the balance sheet
  • Assist in managing external audit, including preparation and ongoing support
  • Assist in SOX compliance for revenue accounting
  • Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested

Experience:

  • BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA license preferred
  • 3+ years in Accounting, including public accounting experience
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting research and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications; NetSuite/Oracle is strongly preferred
  • Able to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
