In London, Lyft is working on building 3D visual maps at unprecedented scale using computer vision. Visual maps are a powerful tool for encoding and understanding the geometry and semantics of the world, which is a key component of safe and efficient autonomous driving. Our mission is to push the state-of-the-art of computer vision algorithms like visual SLAM and Structure from Motion (SfM) to new levels of accuracy, robustness and scale.
Responsibilities:
- Help build the future of autonomous vehicles through impactful 3D/2D/UI visualizations and tools
- Take ownership of features, projects, performance, quality, workflows and platforms
- Champion frontend best practices to engineers, designers, and management
- Collaborate with team members across Level 5
Experience:
- 3+ years of software engineering industry experience
- Experienced with 3D graphics and data visualization
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks: React, TypeScript, mobx
- Experience building performant visualizations using OpenGL or experience with WebGL libraries like three.js, WorldView, kepler.js etc
- Advanced level knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
- Experience working with Product, Design, and Engineering
