Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of talented engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problems
  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members. Help develop their careers and assign them to projects tailored to their skill levels, personalities, work styles, and professional goals
  • Build teams that are collaborative, inclusive, and respectful of each other
  • Provide continuous feedback, address underperformance, and recognize the individual strengths and contributions of your team members
  • Create plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges in your organization
  • Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects and shipping things quickly
  • Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team’s code, architecture, and processes
  • Work closely with the Lyft recruiting team to hire high potential candidates from diverse backgrounds
  • Work with your engineers and/or product managers to maintain a prioritized backlog and create short term and long-term goals
  • Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we continue to ship scalable, highly-available products that delight our passengers and drivers
  • Help your team build relationships across functions with Support, Marketing, Ops, BizDev, or other teams to ensure Lyft’s continuing success

 Experience:

  • You have a technical background and are able to contribute to planning and design discussions
  • You are steadfastly focused on your customers, whether they are drivers, passengers, or other Lyft employees
  • You have experience leading a team of engineers and guiding them through their career development

Responsabilidades:

  • Liderar un equipo de talentosos desarrolladores que gustan de hacer buen código y atacar problemas complejos de ingeniería
  • Ser guía y mentor de los integrantes de tu equipo en temas profesionales y de desarrollo técnico. Ayudar a desarrollar sus carreras y asignarles proyectos acordes a su nivel de habilidad, personalidades, estilos de trabajo y letras profesionales.
  • Construir equipos colaborativos, inclusivos y respetuosos de cada uno.
  • Brindar retroalimentación continua, abordar temas de bajo desempeño y reconocer las fortalezas y aportaciones individuales de los miembros de tu equipo.
  • Crear planes para la priorización técnica y retos de recursos dentro de tu organización.
  • Mantener un balance entre construir de manera sustentable, proyectos de alto impacto y entregables rápidos.
  • Inculcar el espíritu de mejora continua del código, la arquitectura y los procesos del equipo.
  • Trabajar de forma cercana con el equipo de reclutamiento de Lyft para contratar candidatos de alto potencial y de  diversos orígenes.
  • Trabajar con ingenieros y/o Gerentes de Producto para mantener una priorización de cartera y crear metas de corto y largo plazo.
  • Responsabilizarte de los entregables de tu equipo y asegurarte que continuemos entregando productos escalables, de alta disponibilidad y que deleiten a nuestros conductores y pasajeros.
  • Ayudar a tu equipo a construir relaciones interfuncionales con Soporte, Marketing, Ops, BizDev y otros equipos para asegurar el éxito continuo de Lyft.

 

Experiencia:

  • Tienes antecedentes técnicos y eres capaz de contribuir a las discusiones de diseño y planeación
  • Estás firmemente enfocado en los clientes, ya sean conductores, pasajeros u otros empleados de Lyft.
  • Tienes experiencia liderando equipos de desarrolladores y guiándoles en el crecimiento de sus carreras.
  • Crees en contour tanto equipos como productos escalables.
  • Disfrutas trabajar en un ambiente colaborativo y cuentas con el compromiso para llevar los proyectos a una conclusión de manera creativa.
  • Puedes motivar y fomentar un fuerte sentido de responsabilidad en el equipo
  • Tienes experiencia guiando equipos en temas de planeación, priorización y ejecución de trabajo
  • Piensas y construyes pensando en el futuro.
