We are seeking a highly skilled, multi-faceted Finance Systems Developer with Information Technology and Finance systems experience. In this role you will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and across the business functions company on programs that strengthen our financial infrastructure.

Here's an overview of the finance domains we're hiring TPMs for here at Lyft:

  • Order to Cash - OTC (Technology and functions: SFDC, RevRec)
  • Payroll and HR (International, Benefits, Equity)
  • Record to Report - RTR (SEC Reporting, monthly close)
  • Assets - ATR (fixed, rentals, fleet, inventory)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead iterative delivery of key strategic cross-functional financial system programs from concept to ship, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability  
  • Own regular program communication, unblock teams and build partnerships with internal Engineering teams, Accounting, Finance, FP&A, and People (HR)
  • Partner with Functional Finance Business leadership to build highly collaborative teams and to enhance communication across teams and stakeholders
  • Develop standards, processes, and documentation to improve best practices and compliance, focused on SOX -- including reviews, awareness, education and process controls
  • Partner with engineering teams to functional requirements in a way that upholds our non-functional standards in security, privacy, and infrastructure
  • Manage interactions w/ 3rd parties SaaS vendors and System Integrators for platforms such as Oracle, Workday, or Netsuite

Experience:

  • 5-8 years as a Financial System Developer, product manager, or a relevant consulting role is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, EE, or similar or relevant work experience
  • Experience at public, internet technology companies leading cross-functional teams to deliver large, complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints, in a highly dynamic and agile environment
  • Tier 1 Cloud ERP financial experience (Oracle Financials preferred)
  • Integration technology experience with ETL functionality (preference to Dell Boomi, alternative Oracle Java Cloud, Mulesoft, Spark)
  • Experience implementing some combination of Oracle Financials or SAP module portfolio including: General Ledger (GL), Sub-ledger Accounting (SLA), Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Financial Accounting Hub (FAH preferred), Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Tax, Global Intercompany Systems, and Invoice modules
  • Experience working with IT Operations group on aligning Financial application needs with supporting client/server/network architecture (preference to AWS platform, alternatively Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Technical knowledge of Finance business systems (Oracle, Workday, Netsuite, ADP) as well as domain expertise in legacy technology stacks such as in-house Java, Python, PL/SQL and Redshift builds
  • Experience with data warehouses and analytics tools such as Oracle Hyperion, Tableau, Anaplan
  • Hands-on experience in an Information Technology, Engineering, or Technical Program Management role delivering Financial solutions
  • Skilled in business process optimization, risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions
  • Able to communicate at all levels from engineer mentorship to business partner to C-level executive updates
  • Excellent team building, organization, planning skills, and attention to detail and a vision to international operations including multi-currency and multilingual cloud deployments
