A top producing team at Marcus & Millichap, the nation’s leading commercial real estate investment sales company, is seeking a talented, career minded, Senior Financial Analyst in their Fort Lauderdale office.

The role provides an advanced level of financial and analytical support services, including, but not limited to: the preparation of proposals/opinions of value, data input, underwriting property values, performing market research, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling, including the creation of financial models, pro-forma analysis including cash flow and debt/equity, net present value and discounted cash flow analysis, and IRR (internal rate of return) analysis.
  • Establish supportable underwriting assumptions or estimates when information is not readily available.
  • Compile abstract property financial statements and due diligence information.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations including, interpreting and identifying inconsistencies in data.
  • Research property specific demographics and economic trends to support financial assumptions via internal programs, internet research or similar sources.
  • Initiate communications with appropriate parties to obtain additional information as needed.
  • Establish and articulate valuation strategies based on project requirements.
  • Create proposals, marketing packages, email blasts, etc. utilizing Marcus & Millichap’s proprietary, and other software.
  • Able to read and understand abstract commercial leases
  • Provide training, mentorship, development, guidance and management to junior level Analysts 
  • Education, Attributes and Experience:

  • Master of Business Administration degree (or similar Master’s degree)
  • 5-6 years related experience
  • Professional and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical aptitude
  • Argus Proficiency
  • Resourceful, highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to inspire others to conduct themselves similarly
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring others
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications, expert level Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Able to manage multiple/competing priorities and work under pressure
  • High level of integrity and interpersonal skills
