MongoDB Realm is a backend-as-a-service that lets you directly and securely access your MongoDB data anywhere, synchronize that data offline/online with Realm Sync, interact with 3rd party services via serverless Realm Functions, react to changes in your database with Triggers, and host your website with Static Hosting.
The Realm Cloud Sync team focuses on building a scalable, high-performance distributed cloud service that gives developers the ability to quickly build offline-first mobile applications - working closely with SDK developers to provide a platform that works across iOS/Android/ReactNative, and more.
The ideal candidate will
- Have 3+ years of experience developing robust back-end software at scale, including experience with concurrency and distributed systems
- Have substantial, demonstrable experience writing high-quality software
- Want to participate in Open Source software development and communities
- Have a love for designing and implementing ergonomic APIs
- Have a desire for continuous learning of new technologies, languages, and platforms
- Be an effective communicator, an engineer, and problem solver
- Possess the ability to self-start and improve themselves
- Have extensive experience programming in a high-level server-side language like Go, Java, C++, or Python
- Have some experience with MongoDB

- Know their way around the backend Realm code bases
- Can deliver tasks through the entire SDLC, from design through deployment with minimal guidance
- Establish a cadence of on-time delivery without cutting corners
- Can communicate design decisions and trade-offs effectively
- Can effectively work with members of each Realm Cloud team
