Do you have what it takes to join us:
Cooperate with a team to architecture, design and implement database requirementsProvision database instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurationsEnsure performance, security, and availability of databases by regular monitoring and maintenanceHandle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, restore, migration, etc.Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessaryParticipate in deployment, installation and upgrading of software applicationsPrepare documentation and specification for database structures as per requirementsAre used to prompt reacting to system notifications and making sure the downtime is minimalPrefer to work on agile software development projects with globally distributed teamsGood communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essentialHave more than 3 years of relevant experienceTechnical skills and qualifications:
Strong proficiency in database management of production and non-production environmentsAbility to plan resource requirements from high level specificationsRelevant experience with recent versions of PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDBUnderstanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAMExperience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL and MySQLKnowledge of de-facto standards, best practices, limitations, and features in PostgreSQL and MySQLProficient in writing and optimizing SQL statementsProficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVNGood time management and ability to prioritize tasks among multiple or changing prioritieWe offer:
