To reach our ambitious goals, we are looking for Database Administrator.

Do you have what it takes to join us:

  • Cooperate with a team to architecture, design and implement database requirements
  • Provision database instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases by regular monitoring and maintenance
  • Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, restore, migration, etc.
  • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
  • Participate in deployment, installation and upgrading of software applications
  • Prepare documentation and specification for database structures as per requirements
  • Are used to prompt reacting to system notifications and making sure the downtime is minimal
  • Prefer to work on agile software development projects with globally distributed teams
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essential
  • Have more than 3 years of relevant experience
  • Technical skills and qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in database management of production and non-production environments
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
  • Relevant experience with recent versions of PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB
  • Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
  • Experience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Knowledge of de-facto standards, best practices, limitations, and features in PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks among multiple or changing prioritie
