Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
 
Team: 
·       Manage delivery of technical software development projects 
·       Use agile best practices to identify areas of opportunity within each team(s) and influence positive change through education and mentoring. 
·       Ensure team is operating at standards that provide predictability (story quality, task assignments, status management, burn down accuracy, etc.) 
·       Monitor and measure velocity and quality of delivery while Identifying and escalating risks 
·       Drive agile ceremonies and practices for both our team(s) and the client resources in case a SCRUM master is not effective 
·       Ability to determine customer needs and recommend the scope of present and future product needs and specifications. 
·       Participate in managing Nortal consultants during time of distress or ambiguity. 
·       Monitor team(s) health and ensure work load is distributed. 
·       Responsible for project metrics and guiding team in making decisions around burn rates. 
·       Ability to interface with other Nortal geographies and manage communication across different time zones 
 
Client: 
·       Use software product development knowledge to influence roadmaps and successfully engage at a programmatic level  
·       Support/assist client (where needed) in managing product concept, to design, to realization through delivery  
·       Able to facilitate story mapping and work closely with client to determine product priorities 
·       Ability to recognize risks posed by product development onto our Nortal team and successfully negotiate alternatives 
·       Produce status reports that are client-facing including project health, consultant and team health, and overall progress against roadmap 
·       Assist in providing content for quarterly business review materials and be able to report specific data points of projects (budget, efficiency, velocity, etc.) 
·       Participate and sometimes drive steering meetings with client executives using clear and polished communication/presentation skills 
·       Manage client expectations and be able to have difficult conversations with diplomacy 

Qualifications: 
·       1-3 years of Consulting experience in software development – preferably with other consulting firms (not staffing or agencies) 
·       1-3 years Project Management experience using Scrum and with a familiarity with other agile methodologies such as Kanban, Lean, SAFe or XP 
·       Has managed software delivery in teams of 5 or more 
·       Proven experience and solid understanding of technology consulting, delivery management, project-based work, and managed services. 
·       Highly developed customer relations and service skills including the ability to effectively present to enterprise audiences ranging from managers to director-level. 
·       Ability to manage expectations across accounts and customers while representing the broader Nortal value proposition and ensuring engagement success for all parties. 
·       Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are staples of the position. 
·       Attributes include business savvy, precise communication, ability to build trust quickly, and strong attention to detail/organizational skills  
·       Job duties are varied and complex thus requiring independent judgment, collaboration and leadership. 
 
 Education: 
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration (or similar)
