Position Description: 

Okta’s EMEA Business Development Representative (BDR) team is growing and we are looking for a manager who is able to manage, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of sales driven BDR’s, who are responsible for our inbound demand generation responses in the UK & Ireland to take them to Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s). You should bring a proven track record of success in achieving lead generation targets and previous experience motivating teams,  and driving development. As a BDR Manager you will be reporting into the Director of Demand Centre. You will also partner and collaborate closely with members of our Sales and Marketing teams to ensure monthly and quarterly pipeline goals are achieved.

You will align inbound lead generation goals, strategy, and tactics to our go-to-market initiatives in the marketing organisation. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and enablement groups to maximize pipeline creation against each marketing program, working in an agile manner to report and course correct as needed. 

The candidate for this role will need to have experience working in an inbound and/or outbound sales development role and have a proven track record of creating repeatable pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience in people management, sales coaching and monitoring key performance indicators. A Saas background is an advantage. 

Core responsibilities: 

  • Manage and coach a team of BDRs to generate new qualified opportunities and pipeline for the sales team
  • Develop your team’s skills for prospecting, qualifying and opportunity creation 
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback and professional development
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly performance of the inbound team to ensure quotas are met and achieved 
  • Provide reporting on lead volume statistics, lead pipeline, conversions and sales opportunities generated against each marketing campaign 
  • Closely monitor metrics against goals and call out any issues with a proactive solution if issues are identified 

Requirements

  • Fluency in another EU Language, French, German or Dutch preferred
  • Experience directly managing a team of SDR/BDR’s (growth-stage experience highly preferred)
  • Experience as a quota achieving SDR
  • Metrics driven - driving the team to keep on top of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly targets
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to maintain confidentiality and business ethics
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Expert in using Salesforce.com and other sales tools/products to drive productivity
  • Proven ability to effectively hire and train new reps

  • Effective presentation and listening skills
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments and the ability to work through unknowns that can often develop with a sales and product roadmap that iterates and adapts quickly
