JOB PURPOSE:

Customer First is a global team of experts focused on the post-sale experience for Okta customers, including Education Services, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Customer Support.

We are looking to expand our Certification team with an entrepreneurial team member who is also energetic and resourceful. We are looking for a Certification Program Manager who will have ownership over the design, development, and maintenance of various specialized projects related to the Okta certification program. You will interlock with different teams across Okta to identify and prioritize new certification needs and recruit subject matter experts who will support the development of certification exams. You will assist with the development of growth strategies for the Okta certification program and the daily operations of the Okta certification program, including the planning and execution of testing events and exam development workshops. You will establish operational and outcome-based success metrics and drive projects to completion. You will also manage certification platforms and testing vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and overall satisfactory performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Plan and manage all activities related to the establishment of a new certification program from concept to launch
  • Plan and manage exam development activities for multiple exam projects
  • Manage and coordinate exam refreshes
  • Identify, recruit, train, and retain subject matter experts.
  • Co-facilitate job task analysis, item writing, and accuracy review workshops
  • Create and maintain maintenance exams, practice exams, and other preparatory materials
  • Maintain and enforce program policies
  • Aggregate, review, summarize and take actions on in-exam feedback and feedback received through other media.
  • Hold key stakeholders accountable to ensure you meet deliverable deadlines 
  • Synthesize detailed program data into Executive level summary to communicate out program progress, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in I/O Psychology, Business Management, Education, or Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in a certification or training role
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, self-starter who can multitask. You can take a project from creation to completion and show the results.
  • You love being part of a highly energized team. Innovate, collaborate, celebrate.
  • Experience with systems and tools used to create, publish, and deliver certification exams and manage credentials and digital badges. 
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to create, execute and adjust plans as needed.
  • You have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Resourceful and skillful in managing a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service.
  • Software or Technology industry experience preferred.
