In your new role as an Operational Lead (Fit Out) within our International Expansion Team you will support the full programme management life cycle of our new warehouses implementation - from site due diligence, through the design and construction to installation and handover of the facilities. You will contribute to our growth and scale-up strategy by expanding our Field Operations presence internationally. 

What you’ll do 

  • Lead & execute diligence for new Field Operations warehouses internationally
  • Facilitate decision-making & smooth communication by building reports of new sites 
  • Drive day to day activities to ensure sites are fit out safely and within the delivery timelines agreed
  • Build and foster strong and trusted relationships with team members across all departments (IT, Supply Chain, Capacity, Security, Safety etc.)
  • Be the main POC for operational vendors, ensure vendors are set up properly in our system with contracts reviewed by legal and create purchase orders when needed
  • Build strong partnerships with the best in class contractors to ensure high quality fit out of our warehouses. Invest in strong long term relationships for consistency and price discounts.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks; manage the risks, not just the risk list
  • Contribute to continual improvement processes - recognise opportunities for learnings actions, and effectively trial and implement such initiatives
  • Contribute to the runbook and/or artefacts to be leveraged for future, repeatable programs 

Who you are

  • Multilingual - fluent in both English and one of German, French or Spanish
  • Experience in a fast-paced operations environment, either warehouse, construction, or new office opening. 
  • A background in inventory or fleet coordination or background in supply chain would also be considered 
  • Background in warehouses implementations and safety procedures
  • Vendor management experience 
  • Strong bias for action and a strong sense of ownership; you strive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate opinion with clarity and confidence 
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to identify gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Hands on attitude and willingness to spend time on the ground
  • Work well both independently and in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time
