THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a Bike Product Senior Operations Program Management (Sr OPM) based out of our Taiwan Taichung or Tainan location  who will report into our Senior Director of Operations Program management. The Sr OPM will be tasked with working directly with the Sr Director OPM and in collaboration with the TW Factory leadership and teams to summarize program information on factory bring up, scaling, line qualifications and new product introductions coordinating with Hardware Engineering, Reliability, Quality and other product launch specialists as needed to deliver successful execution of products assigned to his/ her portfolio. Work with key cross-functional team leads, including Hardware and Product Design Engineering, Part Suppliers, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Contract Manufacturers to drive the execution of new products on time with operational excellence.

The Senior OPM will have a strong technical understanding, operational excellence background with experience in factory bring up, scaling capacity throughput, complex supply chain and the ability to identify operational risks early. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate factory readiness for MP start to include production scheduling tools, Material staging and preparations, Assembly line readiness, Process control, shop flow management, Equipment management, Operator management, Validation controls, and any other pertinent factory health infrastructure to mitigate ramp readiness. 
  • Ensure cross functional collaboration of key stakeholders (Quality, Manufacturing, process, IE, material planning & logistics, IT, etc.), buy off (acceptance criteria met) and qualification status approved prior to mass production of saleable units. Use your technical expertise to drive engineering and the supply chain team to meet program cost targets at a product and commodity level for your project. 
  • Partner with Peer OPM’s launching products, understanding timelines, identify factory scaling and bring up risks and collaborate proactively to support a successful launch. 
  • Manage readiness builds where applicable. 
  • Manage master timeline with progress tracking
  • Provide ongoing OPEX reviews with stakeholders, ensure effective work streams and communicate progress
  • Provide periodic updates on activities with tracking metrics and presentation materials with leadership
  • Manage escalation within the team
  • Be proactive, pay attention to the details, and ensure you are enabling teams across to make smart and timely decisions. Stay on top of many moving pieces without letting anything drop 
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders across all organizations 
  • Liaison across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability,
    reliability, product quality, safety and compliance, and go-to-market strategies are met. 
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Program Managers to define Key
    Performance Indicators and Product Requirement Documents to enable successful architecture and design locks and according to PDP timeline, and drive cross functional teams to follow processes important to Peloton throughout the development cycle 
  • Drive where needed operations teams to ensure materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training and documentation plans are in place to support NPI builds and MP, and that key milestones such as capacity requirements and CapEx budgets are met 
  • Running a factory with material planning, logistics, production scheduling , employee training and onboarding, quality management, product testing and maintenance experience. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in Factory bring up, line bring up, Operations Program Management role in consumer electronics industry 
  • Knowledge in Operations and Supply Chain 
  • Cross-functional leadership experience 
  • Proven project management and teamwork experience 
  • Experience working with and managing external suppliers and manufacturers 
  • Problem solving, analytical and communication experience
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Master’s degree, MBA 
  • 7+ years of experience in leading development/delivery of multiple high-volume consumer
    electronics and/or fitness products, managing JDM’s with different models of engagement 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple work threads to
    maximize impact

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lead ramp availability including CTB reporting with Strategic Sourcing, Quality, Engineering and other internal and external teams. 
  • Running a factory with material planning, logistics, production scheduling , employee training and onboarding, quality management, product testing and maintenance experience. 
  • Experience working in Program management and PLM tools such as Agile, Arena, Windchill, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets. 
  • Scrum master or strong familiarity in how to run scrum events a plus. 
  • Previous experience building fitness equipment, road bicycles, gym spin bikes, ellipticals or treadmills as well as any cardio motion equipment
  • Master’s degree, MBA
  • 10+ years of experience in leading development/delivery of multiple high-volume consumer electronics and/or fitness products, managing JDM’s with different models of engagement 
  • Previous experience building fitness equipment, road bicycles, gym spin bikes, ellipticals or treadmills as well as any cardio motion equipment
