Penumbra has developed a proprietary, customized immersive virtual reality technology system that gives therapists powerful tools to help patients in profound ways. As part of the team of Care Specialists, you will leverage your Occupational or Physical Therapy certification and expertise, your understanding of rehabilitation, and your passion for patient care to increase sales, drive utilization, and customer satisfaction with the REAL Immersive System. You will work with the Director of Sales and Regional Sales Manager to ensure superior customer service and utilization of the system, striving to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals. 

We are currently looking for someone to cover Northern California (Bay Area and Sacramento)

What You'll Work On

  • Meet with existing and prospective customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care, and to demonstrate how Company products can help them achieve their goals.
  • Increase account penetration and utilization of system with orders for new and existing line of products and services.
  • Educate existing and potential customers on the merits and proper clinical use of Company products through presentations and demonstrations, using marketing collateral resources and other platforms and formats to drive utilization of Company products.
  • Serve as primary resource for sales and clinical support, basic troubleshooting and follow-up for Company products.
  • Participate in U.S. and international product launch activities.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement a sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in local, regional and national meetings and trade shows.
  • Work with Sales Director/Regional Sales Manager and team members to develop and implement a regional plan aimed at increasing market share and improving quality of service to customers.
  • Keep customers abreast of the latest product and technology developments, and current items of interest in the industry.
  • Assist in training new employees, including Care Specialists and Clinical Care Specialists.
  • Commit to travel as necessary for position and product line support.
  • Attend industry trade shows as assigned, responsible for show follow up, including a summary report to sales and marketing management, turning in orders, communicating problems for internal follow up, getting leads and sending appropriate follow-up correspondence.
  • What You Bring

  • 2-3+ years of practical clinical experience, with current certification and state license in either OT or PT preferred.
  • Strong clinical, technical and organization skills; ability to function in a busy, demanding and competitive environment; outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Sales or marketing background desired. 
  • Experience with use of technology in rehabilitation.
  • Ability to build constructive work relationships and be at ease interacting with colleagues at all hierarchical levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and to solve problems in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously: setting tasks and direction under limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
