Working as part of a cross-functional team, you will work to Increase sales and customer satisfaction within assigned assigned region. You will work with the Sales Director on a continual basis to ensure superior customer service and product use. You will work to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales plan.
What You'll Work On
Attract, hire, and retain top sales professionals to be a part of the Penumbra team.Develop strong working relationships with assigned sales reps & distributors to ensure sense of accomplishment and value to the organizationCreate professional development programs for sales reps to ensure their professional goals are realized within the organizationDevelop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL's) in region to ensure the most influential customers are interested and working with Penumbra on a constant basisImplement regional activities such as PEER meetings, visiting physician events, and training events to further demonstrate Penumbra's commitment to their practiceProspect and develop relationships with prospective customers and/or users of Penumbra products, converting them into Penumbra customersSecure and/or renew existing orders by coordinating product availability, delivery dates, and inventory levelsMaintain open communication lines with current and prospective customers on programs, promotions, regional educational events, and congress eventsIncrease account penetration with orders for new and existing line of products and servicesEstablish, implement, and monitor sales and marketing plan for region based on Penumbra business objectives and customer needsCommit to travel as necessary for distributor meetings and supportComplete other special projects or assignments as requested by Sales DirectorWork with product specialists to assist with market development programs for existing products and for launch of new products in territoryKeep current on new Penumbra products or services being offered and provide feedback to the sales and marketing management on market receptivity, concerns or issues learned from the customerMaintain an ongoing knowledge of competitive product innovations, sales promotions, catalogs and advertising for personal sales effectiveness and corporate market intelligenceAttend industry trade shows as assigned, responsible for show follow up, including getting leads and sending appropriate follow-up correspondenceAchieve quarterly and annual sales objectives as determined by Sales DirectorManage sales expenses to maximize profitability of regionMaintain high level of engagement through e-mail, text and phoneWhat You Bring
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Biology, or related field with 5+ years of related sales experience in the medical device or related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of experience in a supervisory role desiredExperience managing distributorsCreativity and a passion for innovationAbility to travel least 50% of the time, in Brazil and abroadAbility to interact with not only senior leadership but all levels within the organization
