The Software Engineer II - System will prototype, design, and implement new features for a proprietary VR platform utilizing a unique tracking technology. In this role, you will use your expertise in software and game development to work with the Chief Architect implementing SDKs, Tools, and system drivers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer and generalist who is comfortable with full stack programming from USB and Bluetooth drivers to game applications developed in Unreal/Unity. Any virtual reality or motion control development experience would be a big plus.  Most importantly, the ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic development team.

What You'll Work On

  • Prototype, design, and implement all necessary features.
  • Execute any necessary programming tasks required to ship.
  • Work closely with both the System Hardware team and Platform SDK team to implement features.
  • Review new product requirements, provide feedback, and contribute to project planning activities.

    • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, and 3+ years’ software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Must be an experienced software developer and a generalist who is comfortable with all aspects of programming, and a proactive self-starter. 
  • Extensive C/C++ development experience required.
  • Virtual reality or motion control development experience desired (Oculus Rift, VIVE, PlayStation VR).
  • Unreal and/or Unity development experience desired. 
  • Qt UI programming experience for software tools also desired. 
  • Understands relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adheres to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
