The Supply Planner develops a schedule for meeting monthly operations plans, including weekly adjustment of work orders to keep inventory within target range.  The role also contributes to manufacturing and supply chain-related continuous improvement activities.   

What You'll Work On

  • Establish production schedules for manufacturing involving the production of customer orders, sub-assemblies, stock orders, work-in-process, and inter-company transfer orders
  • Monitor daily inventories; tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules
  • Make necessary modifications to schedule to ensure achievement of on-time delivery goals
  • Use ERP system to review sales orders, MRP schedules, dispatch reports, and capacity requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Finance to meet business goals
  • Work with planning team to establishing inventory replenishment targets
  • Prepare production reports by compiling production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used and customer information
  • What You Bring

  • Basic data analysis, including report writing, Word, Excel and Power Point 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Ability to plan, schedule, manage and control the planning/scheduling function, including MRP programs 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of management 
  • Ability to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement effective alternatives 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required. Appropriate business demeanor under high pressure and often short deadlines 
  • APICS certification strongly desired
