The Therapy Development Specialist will drive global downstream execution for marketing initiatives in target regions. Due to growth, we are looking to add to our TDS Team in the following cities: Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Charlotte, NC; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Tampa, FL; and/or Mobile, AL. This person will be a key member of the downstream marketing team and will partner with the sales team to connect marketing initiatives to physician customers. The Therapy Development Specialist will have significant interaction with the field-based sales force and must work collaboratively to assess the effectiveness of programs and resources. They will consistently follow through to ensure that programs are impactful to physician customers, local/regional societies, and the local sales teams and, and should be open to travel up to 75% of the time. What You'll Work On
Develop business cases, strategies, and plans for targeted marketing and growth initiatives through innovative core field marketing programs, local conference support, and deployment of tools/programs for procedural and practice success to raise therapy awareness in assigned regionSupport the development of downstream activities and execute agreed upon marketing plan in conjunction with Sales and product marketing teamRepresent marketing as key point of contact with defined Sales regionSupport the creation and execution of referring physician and patient education events working closely with product marketing team as well as sales leadership/sales teamBe the expert in procedural knowledge, messaging, and collateral that is relevant to raising therapy awareness and competitive account initiativesBe the expert in clinical data related to the particular therapy and stay current with data to incorporate into messaging for raising therapy awarenessAssist with local PR initiatives related to the launch of products working with hospital marketing, Penumbra product marketing, and Penumbra communications team to drive therapy awareness in local marketDrive understanding of patient & clinician insights within the therapy, including patient and referring physician behaviorIdentify, organize, and execute local/regional tradeshows, conferences, and other meetings to promote productEstablish and foster relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders within assigned region to enable podium representation of Penumbra products and to ensure that launches and programs are relevant to drive understanding and adoption of relevant productsAssist in anticipating and responding to the needs of customers and the sales team through all stages of the product lifecycle, including competitive market updates, new techniques, and best practices, working closely with product marketing teamPromote and utilize analytic methods to establish/evaluate all related activities, including analysis and recommendation of new opportunities, and adapt processes and strategies as necessaryPromote and maintain the Penumbra brand raising therapy awareness within your assigned regionCollect and share intelligence with product marketing team on relevant competitive products, activities, and/or therapies for relevant productsWhat You Bring
Bachelor’s in degree in Business, Marketing, or a related fieldExperience developing and executing strategic customer initiatives and growth plansMBA degree a plusAbility and willingness to travel 75%+ with overnight stays at least 50-75% of the time (based on geographic assignment)Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusionMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team based environmentAbility to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressedStrong thinker and creative thinker who is intellectually curious.
