Position Overview
As a subject matter expert in construction, a Technical Solutions Executive partners with Autodesk sales executives to drive incremental annual recurring revenue (ARR) by translating a customer’s business challenges into technical solutions across the Autodesk Construction Cloud to deliver desired business outcomes. This role is responsible for driving expansion and long-term partnerships in accounts by gaining a clear understanding of a customer’s environment, challenges, and requirements through deep product knowledge, customer empathy, and industry expertise.

As a vital member of the Customer Success team, your success will be demonstrated by your ability to get our customers to standardize on the Autodesk Construction Cloud, turn your customers into Autodesk champions and supporting the rest of the field operations team with your robust product and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Hit the ground running with pre-existing Autodesk Construction Cloud knowledge
  • Build relationships with our customers to ensure technical closure, adoption, standardization
  • Proactively reach out to specific existing accounts in our customer base to educate about new product features & drive adoption of core features
  • Includes frequent travel for both on-site and remote customer interactions
  • Turn every client into an Autodesk advocate and lifetime customer
  • Serve as an Autodesk Construction Cloud product and industry expert for the rest of the company
  • Provide value-based pre-sales support, including documented discovery, demos, and technical consulting for large net-new opportunities
  • Develop relationship as a trusted advisor for top, key industry accounts completing, but not limited, to the following activities: Executive business reviews, Product utilization reviews, Review new functionality (as available) to support continuing adoption, Highlight additional forums to engage with the Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Technical Discovery and Solution Fit: Provide leadership and guidance in the formulation of requirement definitions, scope documents, user needs studies, process assessments and project assessments for sales opportunities to help make business cases and drive ROI. Leverage Autodesk software, applications, and services together with other resources to develop innovative solutions that satisfy technical, fiscal, and schedule constraints within the customer’s business.
  • Participate in a unified Customer Journey: Collaborate with Customer Success teams to recommend additional education, deployment and enablement services options (consulting sales lead channel) and empower customers with tools to monitor, improve and optimize their Autodesk Construction Cloud investment
  • Drive Customer Experience: Identify successful customer stories to support marketing and customer reference pipeline, provide additional avenue to pass along customer feature requests and understand any customer dissatisfaction issues and provide guidance on how to engage proper channel (and in some cases engage internal resources directly) as appropriate
  • Sales enablement support for new functionality
  • Work with product development and marketing teams to understand new release functionality: Work with Product Marketing to help translate new functionality into value-add messaging to train sales account executives and support and augment account executive training on high-level demonstration of new functionality, as well as support configuration of demo zones and/or value pitch accordingly
  • Work with product marketing to develop demo (and/or strategy) for new segments like higher education, heavy civil, or government
  • Support speaking engagements (as needed) to evangelize customer success and/or best practices in getting the most value from the Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Help connect and network mutual Autodesk customers to discuss application usage approaches and learnings as relevant
  • Help build the foundation to a scale a World Class Customer Success Organization
  • Customer Support
  • Customer training, configuration, or any other consulting-type of services (Consulting to deliver as paid services engagement)
  • Sales administration or coordination of sales activities (owned by sales account executives)
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior AEC industry experience to drive desired business outcomes
  • Experience using the Autodesk Construction Cloud products, specifically PlanGrid, Assemble, and/or BuildingConnected in your current or previous role
  • Proven track record in managing clients, executing meetings, and developing deep industry relationships
  • Passion for helping our customers and a commitment to creating amazing customer experiences
  • Proactively seek opportunities to learn and improve existing processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in person and over the phone
  • Experience conducting group webinars live within your region
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using BIM 360 in your current or previous role
