As a Mechanical Engineer at Rigetti Computing, you will design and validate hardware to support RF signal delivery and silicon device packaging at the core of our quantum computing system, forming the interface between the room temperature control electronics and the cryogenic vacuum environment where the superconducting qubits operate. This involves the design of mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks CAD, selection of materials and fabrication processes for this unique and challenging environment, developing assembly procedures, and performing tolerance analyses and experimental studies to guarantee performance at milli-kelvin temperatures.

You will be working closely with a team of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, and outside component suppliers to define system and component requirements and integrate your designs into customer-deployed quantum computers.
