We’re hiring Backend Engineers to build robust ecosystem integrations!
Enabling 3rd party data tools and services to integrate with Snowflake is an important piece of our platform strategy. We develop a core set of drivers, and connectors in house, as well as expose robust APIs and Developer tools for other developers to create their own connectors.
AS A BACKEND ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL
- Build drivers and services that will target data warehouse ELT/BI builders, application developers, data scientists, and third-party system connector builders.
- Create and own components such as:
- RESTful APIs
- Scripting service
- Scheduling service
- ETL service
- Create open source artifacts and help grow the Snowflake developer community.
OUR IDEAL BACKEND ENGINEER WILL HAVE
- 3+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large scale systems.
- Experience delivering drivers or developer SDKs built on top of RESTful web service APIs.
- Familiarity with building high performance and scalable software in an internet scale distributed cloud environment.
- Fluency in one of programming languages like Java, JavaScript or Python.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Interest in creating well thought out infrastructure and APIs.
- Solid problem solving skills.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written, and an interest in working with a diverse set of peers and external developers.
