Our Sales Engineering organization is seeking a Manager to lead a highly skilled team of Partner Sales Engineers who work with ISV Partners such as Dataiku, Fivetran, Sigma and many more. This is a unique leadership opportunity where you will play a hands-on role to build a technical strategy with ISV Partners across various segments such as Data Science, Data Engineering etc, and own the execution. You will work directly with cross-functional teams including Alliances, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to understand the needs of our ISV Partners and build meaningful go-to-market programs to further the Snowflake + Partner business.

Reporting to the Head of Partner Sales Engineering you will play a hands-on role in defining the Technical Strategy for ISV Partner Sales Engineers and owning the P&L responsibilities for the group. 

 IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Lead a team of Partner Sales Engineers who serve as our core go-to-market, product integration, evaluation and education experts.
  • Develop Technical strategy and drive product integration opportunities with the ISV Partners. 
  • Partner with Alliance leadership to achieve GTM targets, the organization's objectives, and ensure relationships are established and maintained with the partners.
  • Provide guidance to Alliances leaders on GTM strategy, product obstacles/gaps and represent the team’s needs to executive staff.
  • Identify opportunities to include ISV Partners and drive opinionated sales play to further customer adoption.
  • Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with Partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions.
  • Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services.
  • Play an active role in the SE hiring process, sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the interview cycles.
  • Act as a player/coach working with your team on and delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects. 

 ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: 

  • 10+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity with 4+ years of direct line management experience (hiring, training and retaining top talent).
  • Expertise in the space, management of Cloud Sales Engineering team required.
  • Industry expertise within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and/or Cloud Computing.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills within Databases, Data Warehousing, ETL and Analytics. 
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
  • Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solutions.
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
