We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role will serve as an FP&A partner to our Marketing team and requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. You are versatile, analytical, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, a strong communicator and collaborator. In this role, you will drive value and empower decision making through data, reporting, and analyses that impact Snowflake’s success as a company.  

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the month/quarter-end close process: prepare accruals, review journal entries, ensure accurate financial results and provide variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly financial review packages for business partners in order to review expenses, discuss variances and update forecasts
  • Manage the monthly forecasting related to headcount, department expenses, corporate allocations and company software spend
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis on spend in order to understand and align on business and financial goals
  • Identify and quantify risk or upside due to business environment and provide solutions 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field 
  • 4-7+ years of experience in FP&A or related finance role 
  • Flexible team-player who easily adapts to an ever changing, dynamic, high-pressure environment  
  • Committed self-starter with a demonstrated history of strong work ethic and reliable task completion under minimal direction 
  • Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to various levels of the organization 
  • Solid accounting/finance experience, including knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills with ability to build reports and dashboards 

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE :

  • Prior experience working in Workday, Tableau, and Adaptive 
  • Prior experience supporting a Marketing organization
  • Prior headcount management experience
