As Senior Manager, Global Security you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees. You will have end-to-end responsibility for; investigations, health and safety compliance, security risk management, travel safety, event security, security budgeting, crisis management, incident response, loss management, physical security system management and enforcing Snowflake’s security policies and regulations. Ideal candidates are passionate about leadership, security operations, project management, customer service, and building a high performing team.
You will be an extremely thorough self-starter with an outstanding track record in workplace security operations, always demonstrating exceptional diligence and attention to detail. You will hire, manage and mentor the Global Security team, creating a true team spirit and common purpose, and hold all vendors and service partners to the highest standards. You will be highly proficient at taking the initiative to drive results with minimal supervision, be solution oriented, deal with ambiguity, rapid changes in priorities and short deadlines, and have the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, local and remote, and including senior executives, to realize results.
This position is based in the Bay Area, with 3 days per week expected in either San Mateo or Dublin, but will require domestic and international travel up to 25%
AS THE SENIOR MANAGER OF GLOBAL SECURITY AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Manage vendor contracts staffing all Operations Centers across all contract lifestages, from setting requirements and selecting vendors to ongoing maintenance.
- Manage and oversee the Global Security Operations Center program for HQ and international offices.
- Build out and maintain a scalable Regional Security Operations Center program in tandem with managing a globally dispersed vendor workforce.
- Build out GSOC Protective Intelligence capability, including monitoring for safety incidents affecting employees at the office and on business travel.
- Act as a technical expert providing training to SOC team and wider technology deployment group to ensure best in class delivery and promote security culture and awareness throughout the team.
- Document security protocols and guidelines for company wide access control standards and policies, security guard operations and deployment, technical security solutions, safety, and emergency preparedness protocols and training for staff, liaison with individual offices’ local law enforcement, etc.
- In partnership with the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, develop and train staff on occupant emergency plans and incident response protocols.
- Work closely with the Design and Build team to assist in the deployment of security systems and technology for new office builds.
- Manage Capex and Opex budgets for projects and daily operations.
- Partner effectively with Workplace teams as well as other Snowflake teams such as IT, Legal and HR. Maintain regular communications with a variety of stakeholders, to ensure that all concerned parties are well informed.
- Develop standards and processes for the product management, programming, maintenance and data reporting / trending of the physical access control system and implement controls to maintain integrity.
- Manage the development of system upgrades and enhancements ensuring continued resiliency, improved user experience and reduced risk.
- Manage engineering project support throughout the integration implementation project life cycle.
- Manage the Installation, testing, configuration and troubleshooting of access control and digital video management systems for both all new capital projects and improvements/modifications to existing sites
OUR IDEAL SENIOR MANAGER OF GLOBAL SECURITY WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing global physical security and a security team, SOC operations, and security systems ideally in fast paced technology or creative office environment
- Experience in analyzing information using multiple external sources to identify and prevent potential threats or risks.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with global security monitoring systems - Lenel, etc..
- Knowledge of Data Privacy and GDPR principles.
- Experience in contract management and budget resolution.
- Extensive experience of managing vendors and contracted security personnel and GSOC teams.
- Ideally Lenel, S2, CCure 9000 System Certified.
- Ideally Lenel Access and Database Expert Certified or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with HID Reader Manager, Credential & Encryption Technologies (Seos Elite, OSDPv2 Secure Channel).
- Familiarity with Snowflake, PowerBI, Tableau & other Data Visualization tools a plus
