Snowflake is seeking a Senior Technical Revenue Analyst to join our rapidly growing company within our Technical Revenue team. As a member of the Technical Revenue team, you will have exposure to a wide range of business activities including partnering with both Deal Desk & FP&A, OTC (order to cash) cycles, as well as process improvements and innovation. In addition, this role will be involved in 10Q/10K reporting, participate in the SOX compliance process, and support/interact with our external auditors. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to learn and assist with other revenue operations processes and responsibilities. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Review sales contracts and assist with deal negotiation, ensure sales contracts are in compliance with corporate policies, procedures and revenue implications under ASC 606. 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex contracts and identify relevant issues to provide solutions with appropriate accounting guidance.
  • Execute month-end close activities including preparation and review of journal entries and revenue reconciliations.
  • Work closely with internal business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting & revenue policies and provide the support on special requests.
  • Ensure the revenue related internal controls in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
  • Assist in external quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Deliver ad-hoc projects as necessary 

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
  • 4 years of revenue recognition experience (Big 4 Audit experience is a plus) 
  • ASC606 technical revenue experience required
  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to communicate technical accounting to non-finance personnel
  • Strong financial system background, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Workday experience is a plus
  • CPA preferred but not required
