We’re growing and looking for a skilled Technical Accounting Director or Senior Manager to join our team.  . You will report to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, and this key position will be responsible for building and maintaining the Company’s accounting policies and preparing accounting memos and analyses to address technical accounting issues arising from business transactions or the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, in particular related to acquisitions, strategic
investments, revenue recognition, foreign currency matters and hedging.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Serves as key stakeholder related to acquisitions and strategic investments regarding accounting due diligence, accounting treatment, reporting and disclosures
  • Identify, research, and document the Company's technical accounting issues; work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters 
  • Prepare technical accounting memos on complex transactions 
  • Draft, update and maintain the Company’s accounting policies 
  • Assess and implement new or changes to US GAAP and be able to articulate changes and impact to executives and non-Finance audience in plain English 
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls 
  • Provide training to internal Finance and Accounting group on technical accounting matters 
  • Assist in the operationalizing any changes associated with new transactions/new GAAP within Finance 
  • Prepare quarterly Audit Committee and management review slide decks 
  • Assist in the preparation of all SEC filings and quarterly earnings release 
  • Assist in managing auditor PBC requests 
  • Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by management 
  • OTC, FX, hedging, M&A acquisition, and strategic investments 
  • Cash flows 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA license required 
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience with a combination of Big 4 public accounting experience 
  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP (especially ASC 805, 32X, 815, 830 and 606), SOX 404 and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research 
  • Self-starter with proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a great team player. 
  • Superior attention to detail

The expectation is that this person works in the Dublin, CA office at least 3 days a week.
