CNC MACHINIST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to and including 5-axis mills and 6-axis lathes
  • All types of drilling, tapping and milling and turning
  • Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
  • Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years of experience in set up, operation and/or programming of CNC mill or lathe machines

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • G-code familiarity (hand edit ability)
  • 2+ years of horizontal mill experience
  • 2+ years of lathe experience
  • 2+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Ability to read and work off of a blueprint

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a 1st shift role working from 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
