COUNTRY LAUNCH MANAGER, STARLINK CUSTOMER OPERATIONS

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, will deliver low-latency broadband internet worldwide. We are committed to providing a world class experience of Starlink for all users and are looking for an experienced leader to be accountable for customer success in new markets that we are entering. You will develop the team, tools, and approach to ensure the customers’ experience meets expectations across all stages of use - from initial deployment and setup through training and troubleshooting. This team will be located at our Hawthorne, CA headquarters but may relocate as needs demand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End to end ownership of developing a plan and executing the deployment of Starlink into a new market (country) from beta through public offering
  • Coordinate efforts among key stakeholders including sales, marketing, logistics, finance, regulatory affairs and customer service to ensure flawless customer experience
  • Develop and maintain weekly deployment forecasts based on detailed understanding of demand and supply constraints
  • Drive operational metrics including measuring actuals against targets, and operational efficiency
  • Assess country tool and capability needs, and develop solutions that drive operating efficiencies across process flows
  • Partner with other Customer Success team members to develop best practices and lessons learned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years of consulting or project management experience
  • Experience with people management 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters degree in management, supply chain, or engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in consulting, software, internet and/or media industries, or early stage companies in market entry
  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated track record of cross-functional stakeholder management and leadership through influence
  • Distinctive project management, problem solving and analysis skills, combined with business judgment and top communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to corporate customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and industry events as needed

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
