DIVERSITY & INCLUSION PROGRAM LEAD

We are looking for a Diversity & Inclusion Program Lead to join our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team. As a Diversity & Inclusion Program Lead, your contributions will help to progress Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at SpaceX. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and excited to help our team build a strong employee experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with strategy and execution of all Diversity, Equity & Inclusion activities at SpaceX
  • Responsible for developing strategies to effectively communicate our Diversity initiatives and progress across the company
  • Provide guidance to our Diversity Employee Networks (i.e. ERGs), help establish local networks at each site
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and implement group and site-specific diversity goals and strategies
  • Work closely with people leaders to facilitate the execution of key diversity projects and initiatives, providing analytical and project management support
  • Develop and/or facilitate training and development programs to aid diversity and retention initiatives.
  • Help track diversity employee demographics and other relevant statistics
  • Work closely with HR team (HR Reps, Recruiting, Learning & Development, etc.) to roll out resources, training and inclusive strategies
  • Partner with the Data and Automation team to create data driven strategic recommendations to inform how we attract, select, grow and retain talent
  • Help plan events to celebrate diversity holidays (Black History Month, Veterans Day, etc.) throughout the calendar year

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, recruiting, or human resources OR 6+ years of experience supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, recruiting, or human resources

  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job 
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and sense of urgency to get things done
  • Strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and flexibility; the ability to work in a dynamic organization with rapidly changing needs 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
