HR SYSTEMS ANALYST

SpaceX is growing our HR Data and Automation team with the addition of a Systems Analyst. The ideal candidate will share our to vision to provide useful data and analyses that empower the Human Resources group and company to practice data-driven HR, make better decisions and be more efficient. Day-to-day duties will revolve around creating data visualizations, SQL data models, analyzing trends and overall optimization and automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain insightful dashboards using data visualization tools (like Tableau and PowerBI) to drive business decisions
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to improve data accessibility and process automation
  • Rapidly identify, define, execute and manage projects that improve/automate business processes
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop and maintain relationships, understand cross-functional processes and data flow, and enable more powerful analyses and tools
  • Analyze user’s requests, identify problems, and determine best path for solving business problems that may include process improvement, system enhancements, and/or software procurement
  • Troubleshoot and determine root cause of technical issues and data inconsistencies related to enterprise software, automation tools and Tableau dashboards

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience developing custom SQL queries
  • 1+ years of experience building dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or related data visualization tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in math, statistics, economics, engineering, data science, or computer science
  • Experience with Python
  • Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements into functional requirements
  • Experience handling confidential information appropriately
  • Demonstrated success multi-tasking and managing multiple time-sensitive projects
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service to internal customers

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
