SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

RF SYSTEMS ENGINEER (STARLINK)

Starlink believes in providing fast, reliable internet to serve populations with little or no connectivity.  We design, build, and launch the world's largest constellation of satellites, enabling us to operate a global internet network unbounded by traditional ground infrastructure limitations.  Starlink is now delivering service both domestically and internationally, and will continue expansion to near global coverage of the populated world in 2022.

As a RF Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for simulating and modeling the communication systems for the next generation of satellites and Earth Stations and help define their architectures and specifications. Your expertise will shape SpaceX’s capabilities to provide high quality internet service around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Simulate and model communication systems
  • Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software domains
  • Assess feasibility of various designs in support of architecture definition
  • Deriving top level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Characterize and analyze system performance
  • Provide technical support to regulatory, coordination, and market access teams
