SR. TAX ANALYST, LATIN AMERICA

SpaceX recently launched Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation that will deliver low-latency broadband internet worldwide. We’re looking for a Sr. LATAM Tax Analyst as it expands its footprint to Latin America and other regions around the world. The Sr. LATAM Tax Analyst will be part of the corporate tax team located in Hawthorne, CA and will work on our US and local country tax matters for Latin America and other regions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather data and coordinate with external service providers for the preparation of both direct and indirect tax returns in Latin America and other regions
  • Prepare and review book/tax differences for US and local country tax purposes
  • Assist with maintaining tax records, agreements and transfer pricing documentations
  • Complete research, analysis, and interpretation of existing and proposed legislations
  • Assist with notices and audits received from various taxing authorities
  • Provide support as needed on ad hoc tax projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business
  • 5+ years of tax experience
  • Experience with tax rules in Latin American countries
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Big 4 experience in Latin America or as Latin American desk in the United States; and/or experience working for a U.S. multinational company that operates in Latin America
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with e-invoicing in LATAM countries
  • Detail oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends to meet tax deadlines and special projects as needed

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
