STARLINK SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST, GOVERNMENT

The SpaceX Government Sales team is in need of a sales operations analyst with a focus on expanding the reach of Starlink within the Government sector. This role will focus on implementing, evolving, and optimizing internal sales processes in coordination with Government systems; developing strategy around accessing Government markets; and identifying and quantifying sales team forecasts and performance over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and influence internal sales processes and tools, working across sales, operations, and software teams to steer new development.
  • Interface directly with customers in the sales process to understand operational needs and acquisition processes utilizing that knowledge to improve the Government sales process.
  • Dive deep into complex business and government procurement challenges and provide insights into acquisition and demand patterns.
  • Support analysis and targeting of sales efforts through statistical modeling, customer segmentation and profiling.
  • Develop and maintain authoritative data sources to track performance and drive decision-making.
  • Actively collaborate to apply learning to other channels/products/business units.
  • Reconcile divergent demands of multiple stakeholders in a fast work environment.
  • Participate in proposal development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy, data analysis, and process development.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, US Government acquisition, and/or project management.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline or an MBA.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably in a team environment.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Background in CRM/ERP tools and software.
  • Proficiency with database software, ideally SQL.
  • Working knowledge of the DoD acquisition process.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
