SUPERVISOR, LAUNCH OPERATIONS - NIGHT SHIFT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and provide daily support to the launch operations technicians
  • Ensure safety and quality inspection principles are followed in all tasks
  • Assess candidates and provide recommendations in the hiring process
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work, as well as assess completed work
  • Ensure employees have the training, tools and materials they need to carry out their duties
  • Monitor and approve employee time keeping records
  • Communicate how successful performance will be measured and provide collaborative direction to team members; recommend performance standards and ratings
  • Lead technicians in the field to accomplish required tasks on a daily basis
  • Coordinate upcoming tasks with engineering, while also gaining a solid understanding of all systems, quality criteria, and other relevant requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years experience with fluid systems

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a technician with fluids systems
  • Ability to operate successfully in a remote location with a limited team and resources
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of high pressure pneumatic, hydraulic and cryogenic fluids systems
  • Knowledge of all types of bore scope inspection equipment
  • Understanding of fluids system schematics and procedures related to launch operations
  • Ability to be diplomatic with a variety of individuals across the organizational infrastructure
  • Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of different fittings such as NPT and KC
  • Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work night shift (5 PM - 5 AM)
  • Ability to work at elevated heights
  • Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain
  • Work occasionally performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
