TAX ANALYST

SpaceX recently launched Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation that will deliver low-latency broadband internet worldwide. We’re looking to add a Tax Analyst to the tax team as we expand our domestic and international footprint. This role will be responsible for our international and domestic tax matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather data and coordinate with service providers for preparation of both direct and indirect tax returns
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including quarterly estimates and extensions
  • Prepare and/or review book/tax differences for US and international tax purposes
  • Assist with maintaining tax records and filing systems
  • Complete research, analysis, and interpretation of existing and proposed tax legislation
  • Assist with notices and audits received by various taxing authorities
  • Provide support as needed on ad hoc tax projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or finance
  • 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting or at a large multinational company

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm or large US-based multinational company
  • Experience with general corporate tax compliance and consulting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPA license
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends to meet tax deadlines and special projects as needed

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
